WIN Interview with Janeane Tolomeo where we discuss her natal astrology birth chart and her relocated chart for Florence

I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Janeane last week as she had kindly agreed to be interviewed for the WIN April newsletter to discuss her natal astrological birth chart and have the chance to compare and contrast it with her “relocated chart” for Florence. A relocated birth chart is the first step in an astrocartography consultation, as it is in essence your natal birth chart regenerated “as if” you had been born in the place you wish to relocate to.

Janeane was born on 7th November 1985 at 10.02 am in Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia. In her natal birth chart she is Sagittarius Rising, hence the planet Jupiter is her chart ruler. The planet which rules your natal birth chart is like your operating system, playing out in the background, and is also the first part of your chart which others see, unbeknownst to you.

Jupiter in our chart symbolises wisdom, learning, teaching, travelling and a quest for a deeper meaning in life.

Janeane shared with me her love of travel and how she and her former husband spent many months travelling around the USA, visiting a total of no less than ten different cities in a short space of time, energy sensing which place they would most feel at home in. They eventually however decided to move to Florence in July of last year as Janeane had a strong resonance with Florence, which is the city they get engaged in over ten years ago. Prior to this extensive travelling, Janeane has lived in Philadelphia until 2017, after which time she then moved to live in Austin, Texas for some time. Despite Janeane and her partner deciding to part ways a few months after moving to Florence, Janeane has now decided to stay in Florence long term. Her reasons being that she loves the vibrancy, the amazingly diverse culture, the immediacy of day to day life here.

In her relocated chart which is the chart we generate “as if” she had been born in Florence, Janeane becomes Aries rising, with Mars becoming her chart ruler. Hence her life here in Florence now has a strong theme around taking courageous action, as the planet Mars symbolises passion, drive and action. Her plethora of Scorpio energy (in her natal chart Janeane has Venus, Pluto, South Node and Juno in Scorpio, in her tenth house of fame and vocation, and the Sun (also in Scorpio) is in her eleventh house, of the collective.

All these planets move to her seventh house here in Florence, a house which symbolises long term committed one to one relationships. The seventh house in astrology is also about long term friendships as well as long term relationships with your clients, for those who are self employed. There is therefore a strong indication in her relocated chart that Janeane may well start up her own business here in Florence, and we spent some considerable time discussing her options. As she is here on the digital nomad visa, this gives her great flexibility should she decide to go down that road.

Her Virgo Moon and Ceres in Virgo which are conjunct (a conjunction in astrology is when two planets are within eight degrees of each other and hence their energy and the characteristics of both planets is blended) move from her eighth house of contractual relationships in her natal birth chart to her Moon moving to her sixth house of service and day to day routine and Ceres then moving to her fifth house of playfulness and creativity. We spent some time discussing the vital importance of prioritising health, diet and exercise here in Florence, as well as making sure Janeane does not overcommit herself.

Towards the end of our time together, Fedora Café unexpectedly ran a fire alarm drill so we had to quickly move to their beautiful garden for about five minutes. I love how accurate astrology always is as the fire drill happened a mere hours before Mercury stationed direct in Pisces after three weeks of being retrograde and five hours later, we had the Spring Equinox. At the exact moment of the fire drill Mercury (planet of communication) in Pisces was conjunct the North Node on the Midheaven chart I generated for that very moment. A higher power than us was clearly indicating that our session was due to come to a close! Mercury was also conjunct Mars (also in Pisces, a water sign) at the time and what does Mars also symbolise – why fire of course!! How do we extinguish fire – why with water of course!
